Henna tattoos are used in many occasions and celebrations around the world. However, they are now used regularly these days. They have increasingly becoming very popular since the rise of the popularity of tattoos. You can choose traditional tattoos or choose your own style for a temporary body art.

When applying a henna tattoo, you have to check the skin first and see to it that it is free from lotion, oils and makeup that could prevent the henna tattoo to penetrate. If such products are present on the skin, wash it completely with soap and water before applying a henna tattoo. Knead the tube for one or two minutes to mix the henna tube or cone before applying and get the applicator ready. Most premixed henna paste tubes have all the main ingredients. All you do is unscrew the lid and pierce to the end of the tube.

Squeeze a small line on the skin or to a paper to determine its thickness and consistency. Use the tube to draw the henna tattoo design on the skin. If ever you make a mistake in applying the tattoo, you can remove it with alcohol and cotton, but make it fast. Use a mixture of sugar and lemon juice to spray on the tattoo and keep it moist. Remember that a henna tattoo is only absorbed by the skin when it is wet, so it is important to keep it wet as long as possible. Let the henna flake off naturally or wait for about five hours and remove using cotton swab and essential oil.
