Nowadays, tattoos are extremely popular. People from all lifestyles have tattoos on various parts of their bodies. Tattoos are a way of expressing one’s self and considered as a great form of art. Sadly, although there are many good things that come with them, there are also disadvantages of a tattoo inked on the body.

Since tattoos are permanent, you cannot get rid of it even if you like. The colors could fade and become dull and ugly to look at in later years. Some people will look down a person wearing a tattoo because some negativity towards it has not improved even today. Some people may also be allergic to the tattoo and could cause problems when you get an MRI because of possible reactions. Tattoo removal is expensive and leaves an unsightly scar on your skin.

Furthermore, if you lose or gain weight, your tattoo could be misshapen. Some companies refuse to hire people who have tattoos, thus making it hard to find employment. They can also affect your personal relationships, especially if you have a tattoo of the name of a person that you once have a relationship with still inked on your body.  It can also affect your health such as complications like allergic reactions, chronic illness like hepatitis or serious infections. Bear in mind that your career goals, interests and relationship can alter throughout life, so make certain to have a tattoo inked in a place that can be easily covered or in a hidden part of your body.
